How do I use data plan with EG Sim card ?

When you bought the EG SIM Card online or offline, you can use both the calls and data with the EG SIM Card. If you need data, you have only to transfer data from the voice balance account using our apps or website. Note that you don’t need to purchase data plan separately.

Suppose you have 30,000 KRW balance account and you need data 1GB (it costs 16,500 KRW). 
When you try to transfer data 1GB, system will be deducted  automatically 16,500 KRW from the voice balance account 30,000 KRW and you have 13,500 KRW balance account. you can keep using both calls and data with remaining 13,500 KRW.

1. Using Apps   

1.1 How to transfer data ? 

Step 1: Download EG SIM card apps at app store or play store.
Step 2: Tap Your account > Apply for / terminate data service.
Step 3: Tap items of data plan, such as 500MB, 1GB.
Step 4: Tap OK button to complete top-up transaction.
Step 5: Upon successful top up,you will receive a SMS notification on your data balance and expiry date.

Note that you have only to apply for data plan again when your data plan's validity expired.

1.2 How do I transfer data if my data has zero balance account while in use data ?  

Step 1: Enter your phone number,  
Step 2: Tap Top up > Data top-up,  
Step 3: Tap OK button to complete top-up transaction.
Step 4: Upon successful top up,you will receive a SMS notification on your data balance and expiry date.

Note that if your account balance is insufficient to transfer data, you will have to top up using global credit card.  

1.3 How do I change the data between 1GB, 500 and 100MB ?
You have only to terminate your existing data and then transfer a new data that you need again.

Step 1 : Enter your phone number,  
Step 2 : Tap My Account > Terminate data service to terminate. 
Step 3 : Tap “Terminate button to complete transaction.

Step 4 : Tap My Account > Apply for data service
Step 5 : Enter your phone number
Step 6 : Tap items of data plan, such as 500MB, 1GB.
Step 7 : Tap OK button to complete top-up transaction.
Step 8 : Upon successful top up,you will receive a SMS notification on your data balance and expiry date.

2. After purchase offline, using Website 


2.1 How to transfer data 

Step 1 Visit our website : www.egsimcard.co.kr
Step 2 Tap My account > Check phone number  
Step 3 Enter phone number (omit “-“) and Tap search button.

Step 4 Tap data recharge(transfer) button.    

Step 5 Choose data service option that you need.
Step 6 Tap apply button and wait for a couple of minutes until 
transaction is completed. 

Step 7 Upon successful transfer(top up), you will receive a SMS notification on balance and expiry date and data product amount.

Note that you have only to apply for data plan again when your data plan's validity expired.

2.2 How do I transfer data if my data has zero balance account while in use data ?  

It is same like above 2.1.

How much will I pay for data plan ?

For 30 days validity period, we offer 3 different data plan depending on the amount of data you need.

1) 1GB is 16,500 KRW     (Olleh wi-fi is available, 30 day-Validity),     
2) 500MB is 11,000 KRW (Olleh wi-fi is available, 30 day-Validity),  
3) 100MB is 5,500 KRW   (Olleh wi-fi is unavailable, 30 day-Validity)

Please note that  
· Data charges are non-refundable while using the data service,
· Data balance will not be carried forward next month,

· If your voice credit has zero balance or data credit has zero balance, you can't use data temporarily until you top up for voice or data.
