What do I use 3G data service in the prepaid free sim card ?

1. Here’s a list of its data price plan (rates in KRW):

One is Flat rate (per month),  
(1) 5,500 won (USD $5 ) per 100MB, KT wi-fi zone is not available, validity Period is 30 days
(2) 11,000 won(USD $10) per 500MB, KT wi-fi zone is available, validity period is 30 days
(3) 16,500 won(USD $15) per 1GB    , KT wi-fi zone is available, validity period is 30 days

The other is Meter rate,
- 55.8 won(USD $ 0.1) per 1 MB, KT wi-fi zone is not available, separated V.A.T 10%


2. How to apply and top-up for data service
If your voice balance remains more than 6,000 won, you can apply for data service anytime and enjoy it.
For example, 
If your voice balance is 15,000won, you can apply and top up up to data 500MB.
After doing these, remaining your voice balance is \4,000 and data balance is 500MB (\11,000).

Just  follow these instructions:

2.1 From Apps 
There's no need to log in, just download the apps “EG SIM Card” in your mobile phone.
(1)  In android Phone case
     download  “EG SIM Card” at the Google play of android app store. 
(2)  In iOS Phone case, 
     download  “EG SIM Card” at the iOS Apple store.
     : Enter your mobile phone number given by Evergreen mobile sim. (only for iOS phone)
(3) Select “home>My account>applying/terminating for data service” in the Apps menu bar.
(4) Select one of the stated data price plans above.
(5) Click Ok button to complete both apply for data service and top up for data transaction,
    which is transferred your voice balance to data balance automatically.
(6) Upon successful both apply for data service and data top up transaction,
    you will receive a SMS notification on your data balance, volume and valid period.

2.2 From web 
(1)  Visit web site at www.egsimcard.co.kr.
(2)  Login with a valid your ID(=email address) and password.
(3)  Select phone number that are already being ordered. 

 for new customers
(4) select  ‘Our offer > Buy standard or micro SIM card in the Web menu bar.
(5) Select one of the stated data price plans above.
(6) Fill up the necessary information on screen 
    and follow screen instructions to complete ‘our offer’ transaction.

for existing customers
(4) click “home >My account>applying/terminating for data service” in the Web menu bar.
(5) Select one of the stated data price plans above.
(6) Click Ok button to complete both apply and top up for data service transaction,
    which is transferred voice balance to data balance automatically.
(7) Upon successful both apply and top up for data service transaction,
     you will receive a SMS notification on your data balance, volume and valid period.

3. Well-informed of precautions before applying and topping up for data service
(1) If voice balance is zero while using a data service, you can’t use data service for a while.
    - Please check your balance and top up immediately.
     -  Unless you top up for voice, data service will be turned off automatically next day at 24.
    
(2) Data charges are non-refundable while using the data service.
(3) Data balance will not be carried forward next month.
(4) If the remaining capacity of data is zero while using the data service 
    so you want to top up,
    please dial the Evergreen customer center Hotline at 02-2122-3444.

One advantage of prepaid EG SIM is that Evergreen mobile uses the KT wireless network.
KT is one of the largest wireless providers in South Korea. So you will get best signal quality 
in countrywide places. 

If you are visiting South Korea for just a few days,  Prepaid  EG SIM should be reasonable 
and flexible for both talk and data use. 
That is the reason why you have only to transfer voice balance to data balance 
whenever you need  to use data service  while you are using talks.
